What we do
Angood Ltd provides specialist consultancy and construction management services across the water, environmental, renewable energy, and marine sectors. We support clients in the delivery of complex projects through expert project management, technical consultancy, and ECC site supervision, offering practical, responsive solutions from feasibility through to construction and completion.
RENEWABLE ENERGY
Consultancy services for hydropower, solar and wind farm development
Marine and offshore energy technical support
Gravity storage feasibility and appraisal
We provide civil engineering consultancy services for renewable energy developments, including hydropower, solar and wind projects. Our support spans early feasibility through to detailed technical input, helping clients assess site constraints, reduce risk and deliver practical, buildable schemes — with experience well suited to rural and challenging locations across Wales and beyond.
For marine and offshore energy projects, we deliver coordinated technical support covering resource assessment, grid and cable considerations, site condition appraisal and survey interpretation. We bring together complex datasets and specialist inputs to provide clear, concise advice that supports efficient project development and informed decision-making.
We also undertake feasibility studies for energy storage systems, including gravity-based solutions. Our work focuses on civil engineering viability, constructability and site suitability, giving clients a clear understanding of technical opportunities and constraints at an early stage of project development.
WATER AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Reservoir refurbishment & decommissioning support
Water utilities consultancy
Flood risk & drainage assessments
Peatland restoration services
We provide technical support for reservoir refurbishment and decommissioning projects, helping clients manage safety, environmental and constructability risks. Our services include early contractor involvement (ECI) reporting, outline construction methods and the preparation of Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs), supporting compliant and well-planned delivery.
Our consultancy services to the water utilities sector draw on practical civil engineering experience and a clear understanding of regulatory and operational requirements. We support infrastructure upgrades, asset management and capital delivery projects, providing proportionate, technically robust advice throughout the project lifecycle.
We also undertake Flood Consequence Assessments (FCA) and Sustainable Drainage (SAB) applications, supporting planning and consenting for developments in sensitive environments. In addition, we provide peatland restoration services, helping deliver nature-based solutions that improve hydrology, reduce flood risk and support long-term environmental resilience.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
Contract & Project Management (NEC specialists)
Client’s Engineer representation
Pre-construction management & ECI
Construction delivery & site supervision
Contract and Project Management are central to our service offering. We provide clear leadership from project inception through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual and programme requirements. Our experience spans infrastructure and renewable energy projects, with a strong focus on practical delivery.
Our pre-construction management and early contractor involvement (ECI) services support the development of safe, buildable solutions before works commence. This includes project programming and cost management, supported by outline method statements and tender assistance. Early engagement helps reduce risk, improve cost certainty and establish realistic delivery strategies.
During project delivery, we provide Project Management and Contract Management / Administration, specialising in the NEC family of contracts. Acting as Client’s Engineer, we manage communications, change control, risk and compliance, alongside site supervision, to support efficient construction and successful project outcomes.
